A man named Alex Onsager created this wonderful site, Pokemon Fusion, which lets you create little mutant Pokemon for fun. Sounds great, right!? Well it is, you can pick from a selection of Pokemon released and bend their genes to your will.

Some would call this horrifying and cruel, but they’re wrong. It’s brilliant. Seems like this could be a new feature being added to the Pokemon games for endless possibilities of the creatures. Here are a few I made!

It’s finally out, but still doesn’t show much that we don’t already know. Deathstroke is in it, Black Mask, and Deadshot. Nonetheless, it’s an impressive trailer.

[EDIT]: Turns out Kevin Conroy is not involved with Batman: Arkham Origins, but he is involved on an unannounced Batman game.

But in even better news, it’s been reported that Kevin Conroy actually will be reprising his iconic role as the Dark Knight in this game. Which is great, I can’t wait to hear his perfect Bat-voice again.

If you want to know some more things about Conroy, or don’t even know who he is, he did a Q&A you should listen to. He talks about the role and somewhat about what he thinks of the game. It’s a good listen while you’re possibly doing busy work.

It has also been confirmed that Deathstroke will indeed be a playable character in the game according to this ad from Amazon. While I’m never stoke for 1st-day DLC, I’m a fan of Deathstroke and love the Arkham games. So this doesn’t change how I feel too much.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be released on October 25th, 2013 for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Wii U not to receive 15 EA games running on Frostbite 3.

EA stated that upcoming games using the Frostbite engine will not be coming to the Wii U. Some titles included in that are, Mass Effect 4, Dragon Age 3, and any other game that uses Frostbite 3.

DICE’s technical director, Johan Andersson, went to Twitter to explain that the Wii U had trouble running Frostbite 2. With that noted, they decided to abandon all efforts towards trying to get it to work out on Nintendo’s newest console. This is what he had to say:

Wolfenstein: A New Order officially announced with trailer.

First off, I enjoy their music choice for the trailer. Hats-off you the people who picked it.

After teasing about the game on Twitter and hiding images on the internet, Bethesda finally released the trailer for Wolfenstein: A New Order.

The game will be taking place after a World War II where the Nazi’s won. They took over the world and we’re now in a alternate reality 1960’s where they are conquering the world using machines and robots. Their opposition, you, is B.J. Blazkowicz. You may remember him from the other Wolfenstein games, but he’s still alive and the Nazi’s didn’t count on that.

You’re tasked with the impossible mission to counter-attack in a desperate struggle to push back the Axis forces and finish the fight.

The game is being created by MachineGames, which was founded by the same people who started up Starbreeze, known from the critically acclaimed, Chronicles of Riddick. It makes sense for a new team to be excited about working on such a famed franchise. Here’s what the creative director, Jens Matties, had to say:

We are excited to bring a new chapter ofWolfenstein to gamers everywhere. As fans of the series, working on this game is an honor, and our team is driven to create anunforgettable action-adventure experience that will make FPS fans proud.

Wolfenstein: A New Order will be running on iD Tech 5 and is set to arrive sometime between October and December of this year.

ZeniMax and Bethesda stated that the game would be releasing on next-gen platforms, but wouldn’t elaborate. Expect it on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and next-gen consoles by the end of this year.

The Last of Us featurette talks about the infected and the world.

In the video they talk about how the infected work, they’ve mentioned the Clicker and Runner before, but they have also mentioned a third infected type that they haven’t shown off yet. That’s the one that has me really curious. It’s a curiosity like, “I wonder what I’ll be terrified of next.” That’s a great sign for a survival horror game, which seems be what they’re somewhat going for.

The world looks very lush and living, like they say, nature is reclaiming it’s territory. It’s a great setup for some fantastic set pieces in the city, and can let anything happen. The buildings around you are falling to pieces and you don’t know what lies ahead. Everything is dangerous.

Naughty Dog really seems to have a hit on their hands with The Last of Us. Each video they release showing the game, I watch it and end up craving more. This is one of my most anticipated games of the year personally.

The Last of Us is set to release exclusively for PS3 on June 14th, 2013. But that’s not all, there’s a rumor going around surrounding the possible PS4 announcement from Naughty Dog. That can be seen in this image.

10/17/13, could it just be a coincidence, or is there something up with the date? It seems rather close to the PS4 launch window. Guess we’ll find out.

Popcap announces Plants vs. Zombies 2, July 2013 release date.

Plants vs. Zombies is getting it’s much-anticipated sequel this summer under the title, Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time. The teaser trailer comes from YouTube personality, Francis, jumping across to many people such as Xbox’s own Major Nelson.

The game is set to release this July, so if you’re up for some more plants on zombie action, get hyped! I know I am. I loved the original and can’t wait to see what the guys and gals at Popcap have in store.

In case you haven’t seen these already, here they are all tied up together nicely for your viewing pleasure.

You start off with Michael, a rich suit who is miserable. He has a side of him that’s stuck aching for the law-breaking life, but he wants to move on because he’s got a family to take care of and he’s not getting any younger.

Then there’s Franklin, a gang banger who also wants to move up in life. The harder he tries to get out of the life he despises, the more he gets pulled in by his past.

Finally, there’s Trevor. A maniacal low-life who has nothing better to do, so he slings drugs and causes chaos. He loves every minute of it and couldn’t be more open about his enjoyment. He seems like he’ll definitely be really fun to play as and interesting to keep an eye on.

Grand Theft Auto V is set to release on September 17th, 2013 for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360. There’s no word on next-gen releases, but Take-Two could be announcing it during their investors meeting later this month.

Here's 35 minutes of Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls.

This was shown at the Tribeca Film Festival last Saturday in front of a full house. This marks the second game that has been shown at Tribeca, the first being Rockstar’s L.A. Noire a few years ago, so it’s a pretty big deal.

There are obviously minor spoilers ahead and I haven’t viewed any of it because I’d like to go into the game as fresh as can be when it releases. But for those who just cannot wait, here’s your first big taste of the game.

What has been shown though is really quite stunning, even just from a graphical standpoint. This is running from a PS3, it’s somewhat hard to imagine what the first-party developers like Naughty Dog (Uncharted, The Last of Us) and Quantic Dream really have in store for the PS4. With better hardware, we can only expect even greater immersive experiences from these extremely talented people.

Beyond: Two Souls will be out for PS3 on October 8th, 2013 in North America.

Borderlands 2's fourth DLC is set for June 25th.

The DLC will be revolving around Tiny Tina, one of the more… talked about NPC’s in the game. It’s called Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep and will set you back $10 or 800 MSP but is included in the season pass.

The DLC was “leaked” via Twitter with this image:

This probably relates the teaser Gearbox showed at PAX East depicting Tiny Tina and friends playing a tabletop game called “Bunkers and Badasses”.

As previously mentioned, the DLC will be out on June 25th, 2013 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

The double-sided poster is available now if you go and pre-order the game through Gamestop.

Activision also released a teaser trailer for the game which says they’ll be showing it off to a greater extent at the Xbox event on May 21st.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is out today.

The DLC but non-DLC is out today and is being well received by the press. I’ve only played a mere sample of the game, but it is outrageously bodacious and I love it.

It is only $15 and is does not require Far Cry 3 to play it. It’s a standalone title of it’s own; enjoy.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will be out this November.

According to this promo posted found at IGN, the next entry into the Call of Duty series will be out on November 5th, 2013.

This is following the rumors that have been going around the internet all weeks about the next Call of Duty game. It should come as no surprise, seeing as Call of Duty has become an annually releasing series by Infinity Ward and Treyarch.

No official comment on this from Activision yet, but it seems like they are keeping with the “modern shooter” formula.

Oh, and look, exclusive pre-order “bonuses” are keeping strong!

Famed Batman voice actor won't be returning in Batman: Arkham Origins.

Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman in a plethora of animated series’ and recently in the Arkham games made by Rocksteady, will not be reprising his role in the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins.

Warner Bros. Montreal, the developers of the game, told South Africa’s NAG Magazine that they’re “to use a new younger actor because the game features Batman in his early years.” It’s a good reason to me, seeing as this is the story of a younger Batman bearing the cowl we all know and love. Whereas Kevin Conroy voiced the more matured and seasoned Dark Knight.

It is disappointing he won’t be returning for this outing, seeing as he’s fantastic in the role of the Bat. But I’m more than willing.

XCOM FPS isn't a FPS anymore.

2K finally released something offically tied to the XCOM shooter they showed off a few years ago. The video takes us through events that likely happened leading up to the beginning of the game. It also has a new title, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified

The game will be releasing this August as a third-person tactical shooter. The game will begin in 1962, during which time John F. Kennedy was the President of the United States. It will tell the origin story of the modern XCOM project that was in last years XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Executive producer at 2K Marin, Alyssa Finley, told Joystiq this:

The Bureau’s initial charter was to investigate a series of incidents that the government thought were all Soviet infiltration and maybe a precursor to a nuclear war. Turns out, those incidents were of a far more extraterrestrial origin.

The Bureau has to quickly adapt from their original charter to become the kind of organization that could identify alien threats, find ways to turn the alien technology against them and cover up evidence of what happened so that the American public could go on with their lives and not go into a panic about being invaded by aliens.

In The Bureau, players will take control of Special Agent William Carter, who takes agents you customize into the field in real-time combat. Also note that permadeath is also a part of the game, but the characters you use as just blank slates you create. 2K is still trying to keep the focus of XCOM as, “tactics, tools, and teams.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified will be available August 20th, 2013 for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.

The video goes into small amounts of detail on what Sony is hoping to achieve with the DualShock4.

From the look and design to the touchscreen and share button, I think it’s a really neat controller. I can’t wait to get my hands on it and hopefully it’s a little more ergonomic in my hands.

The PS4 is set to be released this holiday.

Microsoft to announce next Xbox on May 21st.

Microsoft has officially confirmed that they are going to be announcing their next console on Tuesday, May 21st. They will be holding a special press conference at the Xbox Campus in Redmond, Washington at 10 a.m. PST.

Microsoft community man, Major Nelson, wrote about the announcement on his blog saying:

On Tuesday May 21st, we’ll mark the beginning of a new generation of games, TV and entertainment. On that day, we’ll share our vision for Xbox, and give you a real taste of the future. Then, 19-days later at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, we’ll continue the conversation and showcase our full lineup of blockbuster games.

The event will be livestreamed, so keep an eye out online for it. Even if you don’t catch the event, I’m certain it’ll pop-up somewhere in full form.

Batman: Arkham Origins said to include multiplayer by sources.

Over at Kotaku, their sources have reported that the new Batman game to come out of Warner Bros. Montreal will include multiplayer.

They asked Warner Bros. about the claims but they have declined to comment about it.

According to their source, there is at least one multiplayer mode where you either play as a member of Joker’s or Bane’s gang while trying to eliminate Batman or Robin. The villains included are as follows, Killer Croc, Deadshot, Firefly, Black Mask, Deathstroke and possibly Electrocutioner. Each may be customizable as well.

The same tipster that delivered this information to Kotaku also reported about the cover and setting of the game, which turned out to be spot-on. So, while it’s not confirmed, you should be at least a little excited if you like multiplayer.

XCOM shooter to be re-revealed very soon?

Another mysterious video revolving around the XCOM shooter comes from the ‘Veritas MCLLXII” YouTube account. This one shows a young boy riding his bike and then it flipped over. At the end he’s staring at something in wonder and it cuts. But right before the screen goes black you can see that the frame right before has this written: “APR 26 2K”. This, if understood correctly, should mean that they will be announcing something on April 26th.

Eurogamer reported yesterday that 2K claims that XCOM has “undergone an evolution” since the last time we’ve seen it. 2K went on to say:

Firaxis’ critically acclaimed turn-based strategy title, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, has reignited the classic franchise and we feel that the time is right to deliver a new experience within the world of XCOM.

A lot of people weren’t happy about the announcement of the first-person XCOM game. Now that they’re claiming it’s changed enough to remove all of the previous videos, are you excited again? I definitely am. I’ll be sure to let you know if anything else comes up about the mysterious XCOM shooter.

The company Enodo took CryEngine 3 and used it to simulate real-life environments. They aren’t a gaming company, but you can’t help but be somewhat in awe by how great it looks. They reason they made this is said on the YouTube page, “to show that the mechanisms governing the world of video games are powerful and will revolutionise the way to understand urban or industrial projects, their development, and their communication.”

Keeping in mind the fact that they are not a gaming company and that this is simply a demo, you can’t help but wonder how this would work around games that already exist. How they would be able to make use of this technology and use it for interesting things.
